QR codes are the fastest way to bridge physical and digital — a customer scans your restaurant's table card and your digital menu opens instantly. A visitor scans your business card and your contact details populate their phone. A printed flyer drives traffic to your product page without anyone typing a URL. Creating a QR code should be instant and free, with no account creation, no expiry date on the code, and no embedded tracking. The Utility Spark QR Code Generator creates static QR codes — meaning the URL or text you encode is mathematically encoded directly into the pixel pattern of the QR image. There is no intermediate redirect service, no tracking layer, and no expiry. Your QR code will work exactly as long as the destination it points to exists — forever, if the URL is permanent. The generation process runs entirely in your browser using an HTML5 Canvas-based QR library. Your URL and destination are never transmitted to or logged by our servers. Download the result as a high-resolution PNG ready for print materials, digital sharing, or embedding in documents.

Why use our tool?
Static QR Codes — No Expiry, No Tracking, No Subscription
Many QR code services (like QR Code Generator Pro, Bitly's QR feature, or Beaconstac) create 'dynamic' QR codes that route through their own redirect servers. This lets them track scans — but it also means your QR codes expire if you stop paying their subscription. This tool creates static QR codes: the destination is encoded directly into the image. No redirect server, no tracking, no subscription, and no expiry risk.
Your URL is Not Logged or Stored
The QR generation runs on an HTML5 Canvas element in your browser. The URL or text you enter is processed locally and converted directly into the pixel matrix of the QR image. It is never sent to Utility Spark's servers. We cannot see what URLs you are encoding, and nothing is stored or logged from your generation session.
High-Resolution PNG for Print and Digital Use
The output QR code downloads as a high-resolution PNG suitable for both screen use and print materials up to A4 at standard printing resolution. Whether you are embedding the code in a Canva design, printing it on packaging, or inserting it into a Word or PDF document, the resolution is sufficient for all standard use cases.
Configurable Error Correction Level
QR codes can be read even when partially damaged or obscured, thanks to error correction data built into the code. Choose from four error correction levels: L (7% recovery), M (15%), Q (25%), or H (30%). Use H-level correction if you plan to overlay a logo in the center of the QR code — this ensures scannability even with a significant portion of the center obscured.
Free with No Account Required
There are no daily generation limits, no watermarks on downloads, no email signup walls, and no paid tiers. Generate as many QR codes as you need in a single session without interruption.
How it works
Select the content type for your QR code: URL (most common), plain text, email address, phone number, or SMS.
Enter the destination URL or content you want to encode in the input field.
Optionally, adjust the error correction level. Use 'H' (High) if you plan to overlay a logo on the QR code center.
The QR code generates and previews instantly in the output area — no button click required.
Click 'Download PNG' to save the high-resolution QR code image to your device.
Test the QR code by scanning it with your phone's camera before printing or distributing.
